These are the blueprint for the very first version of the RavenHouse cabin that I built in 2016. Since that time it has been featured widely on Instagram, Pinterest, in many online articles, and in print, including the books Cabin Porn: Inside and Tiny House: Live Small, Dream Big. Search the hashtag #ravenhouse

Build it as a DIY project, or hand the plans off to a professional builder. I built ours solo, over about 4 months - more hands could make it even quicker for you.

SIZE: Total living area is 597 sq ft. (347 downstairs, 145 in the 2 lofts plus 105 in the screened porch.) Footprint measures 21x28 ft.

COST: The approximate cost of materials to build the basic structure, excluding windows and doors, is $20,000 USD. Material availability, your finish selections, and construction labour costs can vary the total build cost considerably.

Great plan; I’m very pleased.

While these plans are helpful, they are lacking in a number of respects. For example the materials list. If you wanted to buy your rafters the materials list tells you they are 2" x 12" and states you will need 484 lineal feet. That is unusual and non-standard. I want to know a length and how many I will need. Say 20, 2" x 12" @ 14' for example. There are no foundation plans. Drawings and pictures show piers but nothing about locations, etc. There is no electrical or plumbing.
